Greetings, smart cannabis users! 👋🏻
I’m now four weeks into my t-break, and for the past two I’ve felt fully “back to normal” in terms of sleep and dreams. The other day, I was home alone (KEVIN!), and I had the thought: “I could technically get high right now.” But the idea was completely devoid of any craving or desire. So at this point, the remaining four weeks of the t-break seem like they might be pretty smooth sailing (touch wood).
This week, I want to share one of my favorite meditations from Sam Harris. (Please note: this and any other meditations I share are always accessible to anyone without signing up for Waking Up or any other meditation services.)
In this meditation, we come face to face with one of the profound mysteries of the first-person experience: How do you actually move your body? How does the decision to do so arise, and how do you actually implement it?
The experiment Sam guides us through is simple, but it can be a fairly mind-blowing experience, especially if you’ve partaken in a bit of the devil’s lettuce beforehand 🌿
