Curated Meditation: A Reminder to Seize the Day
Two moments to remember finite nature of life – 2 minutes
Lately, it’s been a bit quiet over here at Smart Cannabis Use, mainly due to some approaching deadlines in work and renovation projects 🧑🏻💻👷🏻 My apologies if you’ve been awaiting more content – the situation should improve in a few weeks time. In the meantime, I’ve been experimenting with a new responsible use system and am looking forward to posting about that once I have a little more data.
But for now, I want to share two moments from Waking Up, both of which score high on the “Whoah!”-metric.
The first is only 30 seconds, but it serves as a potent reminder of the fact that life is finite – for all of us.
The second moment is just over a minute long, and it underscores how there will be a last time for everything we do. And very likely, we won’t know when that last time comes ⌛️
It’s probably not possible or even desirable to keep this perspective in mind every moment of every day. But I do think it’s wise to not go too long without facing it, and doing so while high can make the realization all the more powerful.
As Mr. Keating says in Dead Poets Society: “Carpe diem, seize the day. Gather ye rosebuds while ye may.”
(You can access them without signing up.)
Enjoy 😎
